Morongo is a luxury Southern California Hotel and Casino and an enticing oasis sprawled across 44 scenic acres at the foothills of California’s brilliant San Gorgonio and San Jacinto Mountains.
My role as an In-House Designer was to create artwork and print design for promotions and special events for the Casino and Tribal Enterprises. My time there gave me a new appreciation for project management and a fast-paced environment. I had the opportunity of learning advanced After Effects motion graphics, while also creating variations of print collateral for the multiple restaurants, event venues and entertainment services available on the property.
BUILD = LIFESTYLE
I teamed up with the owner of Evoque Modern to help in building out a website, social media presence and branding collateral for the promotion of this unique, Joshua Tree based real estate company. With a unique eye for design and a keen opportunistic attitude, this company will be growing quickly and I was glad to be a part of their journey.
Specializing in hard and soft case roller bags, this innovative company has headquarters in Ontario California and has been featured on “TheDoctors”, “NBC Today Show”,the Sundance Film Festival and Remington Park. I worked on contract for six months with Chariot Travelware, increasing their social media presence with a focus on Instagram (increasing followers from 1k to over 3k with more than 300 likes/post in four months), upgrading their website, promotional signage, printable banners and online ads.
This Redlands based company has been making homeownership a reality since 1990. MWF is a full-service, privately held Mortgage Banker with an outstanding reputation built on trust, ethical lending practices and true family values.
As an In-House Graphic Designer for Mountain West, I designed, planned and created both print and digital ads for the use of their Loan Officers. I also determined the most effective way to communicate the complex mortgage programs into visual messages and infographics while also providing corporate announcements for the Redlands Office.
They use Contour Light LED-based red light therapy to “deflate” the fat cells through a process called photobiostimulation. Carol, the owner of Glö, wanted to rebrand her business to reflect a calming and spa-like experience where people would be inclined to think of this therapy as a self care treatment causing inch-loss and improving overall health.
I came alongside Carol and met with her to discuss all marketing platforms and visual design elements that would help promote her business. I designed a logo for the new name then created business cards, brochures, a website and a base she could use for social media marketing.

Nifty Advisor Support works with financial advisors to create marketing materials and creative direction. As part of a small team I worked with a number of clients to build up the marketing efforts of their Financial Advising firms. This included designing websites, thoughtfully building email campaigns and delivering occasional internal business pieces as well.
21 Twenty-One was a program based in California whose purpose was to reach and connect those invested in the life of someone with Down Syndrome.
The name came the unique extra 21st chromosome that causes a person to be born with Down Syndrome, officially known as "Trisomy 21." As a society it's encouraging to see how we've tried to move past seeing only a disability, and have instead embraced possibility in the lives of Down's children and adults. The 21 Twenty-One program celebrates this growth and encourages further understanding in the 21st century.
The name, logo, look and feel and text were all the work of collaborating with the founder of the program: Jacquelyn Long. An app was prototyped and built in InVision after assembling wireframes to facilitate user flow. The T-Shirt was created and worn at events to promote brand awareness while other concepts were mocked up in Photoshop to explore advertising opportunities.

or CDIA is a company that offers programs aimed at ameliorating the issues that Australia’s public and private hospitals face in regards to inadequate clinical documentation. They offer multiple improvement programs and are fostering a new culture where high quality clinical documentation is the norm.
The Director of CDIA, Dr. David Tralaggan, reached out asking for my help in creating some visuals and graphics for the company. I helped refine and digitize the logo, created a number of icons for a banner and designed multiple promotional trade show materials.
I worked with Troy Black from Church of the Woods to create a series of sermon graphics and accompanying marketing materials. This included bulletins, banners, title screens and outline screens for the church's use.
It was a blast working with this organization and fun to take the rich concepts and visualize them into workable graphics.
A person's likeness can be captured with the click of a button, and an incredibly detailed scene can be frozen in a moment.
These abilities would take hours when using traditional mediums such as paint or pencil, but the ease of pulling out your phone or camera and snapping a memory does not negate the power of a photo. If anything, the availability increases the responsibility for the artist to think, consider, and then create. Here is a sampling of what I have created over the years.
Ambassador International, a division of Emerald House Group, is a Christian publishing company founded in Belfast, Northern Ireland with a United States office in Greenville, South Carolina. The US office publishes an average of sixty titles per year, including fiction.
My role as a graphic design intern for Ambassador was to work with the creative director to provide book cover designs, interior layouts, promotional banners and posters for the various publications. In my six months working with the company I assisted in creating over thirty full-length books which were then produced in both digital and print media.
This project was a comprehensive tourism brochure design for the state of California. I wrote both the copy and created the design for this piece, further extending the campaign with web banners for social media.
The keyboard player and marketing lead of the group, Christian, approached me to create a custom album cover: a piano in a post-apocalyptic, old-west, industrial-city-in-the-background, post-rainstorm, at-dusk scene. A few months later, he approached me again to create a new logo for their band incorporating RA (the chemical symbol for Radium).
